The exhibition "The Georgofili and Innovations in Agriculture from the Academy’s Founding to Arrigo Serpieri" ended recently.
From agriculture as a simple craft to agriculture as a real science, it followed the long path over a century and a half of history in which the Georgofili had a major role and in which they demonstrated their attention to every aspect of social life.
The exhibition curators Lucia Bigliazzi and Luciana Bigliazzi have now published, in electronic form, the essay written for the occasion in which the following themes were reviewed: "Knowledge and land management", "Implements, tools and mechanization", "Agriculture-Agronomy-Agrology", and "The life of the rural population".
The exhibition contained, in addition to the Academy’s rich handwritten and printed bibliographic heritage, even copyrighted editorial sketches belonging to the Georgofili’s REDA Collection.
The essay in PDF format is on the website www.georgofili.ithttp://www.georgofili.it/detail.asp?IDN=1574&IDSezione=4
